Combined we have 13 years (and counting) of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience where we have taken care of the tiniest and most fragile babies. Katelin also has 5+ years of experience on the Infant Stabilization Team that provides care for the newest babies following delivery. Since her time in the NICU, Ashley has spent 4+ years caring for those same healthy babies as a Nurse Practitioner in the Newborn Nursery.
As healthcare providers, we see the gaps in the system where exhausted parents are silently struggling with babies who aren’t sleeping. Until now, Pediatricians and Primary Care Physicians have had nowhere to send mommas and daddies who are desperate for even a few hours of uninterrupted sleep. Here at Loullaby, we are Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultants who are passionate about getting you and your baby the sleep you crave.
I am a Louisville native and a University of Kentucky graduate. I spent 7 years working as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) before I obtained my Masters of Science in Nursing at Spalding University. As a Nurse Practitioner I have been practicing in the Newborn Nursery specializing in newborn care. Babies are what I know and sleep is what I love, so when these two passions collided, I co-founded Loullaby, LLC.
I’m a mama to three sweet kiddos, Graham (4), Charlie (2), and baby Hannah, and a proud wife to my adoring husband Ryan. I’ll be the first to tell you that everything changes when you become a mom. There is no calling greater, nobler or more fulfilling than that of motherhood, but let’s be honest it’s exhausting! Sleep is not only important for your little ones growth and development, but it’s vital for YOU too! I am happier, healthier, have more patience and energy for my kiddos and can enjoy evenings with the hubs knowing the boys are tucked in tight for the night! I’m a routine kind of gal and thrive off of having a plan, so establishing routines early on for our boys has kept me sane through all of the daily craziness.
I grew up in good ole Elizabethtown, KY, but I now call Louisville home. I graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Nursing in 2013 and have been a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) ever since! Taking care of medically fragile infants and their families has always been my dream job, but even full-time nursing didn’t satisfy the calling to serve in a greater way. Over the last 10 years, I have also had the opportunity to nanny for several sweet families who were looking for someone qualified, reliable and trustworthy to help take care of their babies. I was able to offer advice and implement sleep training techniques to these families along the way.
My true passion for infant sleep became more evident in the last year when the two worlds of nannying and nursing collided. I took care of twin boys during their time in the NICU after being born two months early and could not pass up the offer to follow them home as their nanny. I have been blessed to watch these boys grow and have hands-on, close up experience with sleep training, “regressions,” always-changing schedules, baby-led weaning, and the ins and outs of traveling with babies. All of which has given me a new fervor to help as many babies and parents get the sleep they need to thrive.
"After taking her expertise, Thomas started sleeping better after night one! This week he started sleeping from 7:00pm to 7:00am with no wakes in-between. It took some work from us and family members, but the outcome is so worth it!"
